A Ghanaian content creator has expressed frustration after her DJI camera went missing at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), alleging that it was stolen while she was using a restroom during her first trip to Kenya.
The travel vlogger, who goes by the name Efyakimora on social media, said the compact camera disappeared while she was inside the washroom, even though other passengers were present at the time.
Renowned for sharing travel experiences from different countries, Efyakimora noted that the loss was especially distressing because the camera was a gift from a supporter. She added that the device, which she relies on to record and document her journeys, is valued at between KSh 64,500 and KSh 90,300.
She further revealed that a fellow woman who was in the restroom said she had noticed the camera but assumed it was a fixed installation. Meanwhile, a cleaner working in the area reportedly told the vlogger that she had not seen the device.
The incident has left the creator disappointed, casting a shadow over what was meant to be an exciting first visit to the country.
