Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osotsi has challenged the Oburu Odinga-led faction, daring them to suspend him as they did with Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna.

Speaking at the Linda Mwananchi rally in Kitengela on Sunday, the outspoken Vihiga County senator affirmed his commitment to uphold the law and defend Sifuna from any attempts to remove him from office.

Osotsi emphasized that Sifuna’s position is secure, noting that Mama Ida Odinga recently reaffirmed this amid ongoing party wrangles.

He added that the Oburu-led faction has underestimated him by targeting Sifuna while leaving him in his deputy role.

“Sijui mbona walitoa Sifuna na mimi hawakunitoa. Nataka kuwaambia mimi ni mbaya zaidi kuliko huyu Sifuna,” Osotsi declared, asserting that he poses an even greater challenge to rivals.

The politician also criticized the Oburu faction’s leadership, recalling how they reneged on agreements reached during a recent ceasefire meeting at ODM Party Treasurer Timothy Bosire’s home.

Mr. Osotsi accused the group of routinely taking party decisions to Statehouse for ratification, raising concerns over the independence of ODM’s internal processes.
