Mr. Edwin Sifuna energized supporters during the 2026 People’s Dialogue Forum (PDF) Festival held at Uhuru Park, urging young people to remain steadfast in their civic engagement and political participation.
Addressing a lively crowd of youth and community members, Sifuna called on his supporters to stay focused on the broader goal of shaping the country’s future through active involvement in democratic processes. He encouraged them not to be intimidated during public demonstrations, emphasizing the importance of courage and unity when advocating for their rights.
The senator also created a light moment during the gathering when he interacted with a schoolgirl from the audience. After asking her to define the word “final,” he was impressed by her response and rewarded her with KSh 5,000, drawing cheers and applause from the crowd.
The festival, which attracted hundreds of participants, also featured civic education and voter mobilization activities. Officials from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission set up a voter registration desk at the venue, allowing eligible citizens to enroll as voters. According to the commission’s representatives, more than 300 new voters have been registered at the festival over the past three days.
Sharing his excitement about the event, Sifuna praised the vibrant atmosphere and strong youth turnout.
“Bwana the energy at the 2026 PDF Festival pale Uhuru Park is amazing. I was also happy that @IEBCKenya set up hapo and have registered more than 300 new voters in the last 3 days.”
Organizers say the forum aims to encourage dialogue, civic awareness, and greater youth participation in Kenya’s democratic processes.
