The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has issued an urgent public appeal for information leading to the arrest of a suspect linked to a brutal rape and murder incident in Kirinyaga County.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the agency said the suspect is wanted in connection with the assault and killing of a 28-year-old woman on March 12, 2026. The crime is believed to have occurred at an unknown time within the county, sending shockwaves across the local community.
According to investigators, the suspect hails from Ngushui Village in Murinduko Location, Mwea Constituency. He remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous, prompting authorities to caution members of the public against approaching him.
The DCI has urged anyone who may have seen the suspect or has information regarding his whereabouts to come forward immediately.
