Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Oburu Odinga held a meeting with party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna on Wednesday, aiming to strengthen dialogue and cohesion within the party amid ongoing internal tensions.

According to Oburu, the discussions took place at his Nairobi office and focused on reinforcing unity among ODM leaders. “I met with my friend, Senator Edwin Sifuna, the Secretary General of the ODM Party, this morning. He continues to be a sober and principled voice, reflecting the democratic values we uphold as a party,” Oburu stated.

The ODM leader emphasized that while opinions may differ among party members, these differences should not be misconstrued as division. “We are one. We remain united as the ODM Party,” he added, underlining the importance of solidarity.

Oburu also highlighted the role of healthy debate within the party, noting that constructive disagreements are essential for its growth and sustainability. He stressed that open discussions strengthen decision-making and ensure that the party remains dynamic and responsive to the needs of its members and supporters.

The meeting comes amid speculation of internal disagreements within ODM, with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to collaboration, transparency, and the party’s long-term vision.
