Renowned High Court advocate Elisha Ongoya has urged Kenyans to confront the truth about the country’s progress, saying the country cannot achieve greatness while rewarding corrupt and unethical individuals.
He added that Kenya’s downfall stems from glorifying “noisiest thieves, conmen, and drug dealers” and entrusting them with sensitive positions while expecting national transformation.
This argument is perfectly right if we look at how much damage these so called leaders have caused to this nation and to our lives. We glorify thieves, murderers and incompetent individuals who take power to abuse it instead of using it to safeguard our lives.
As we speak today, Kenyans have remained suffering with diseases, poverty and hopelessness even as the people they elected to power swim in free money and wealth.
