Embakasi East Member of Parliament #Babu Owino has exuded confidence that he will become the next governor of Nairobi from 2027 upto 2032 when he will pick up the presidency.
He urged the incumbent Governor Johson Sakaja to plan to start packing and move away from the top of the county leadership due to his failed leadership skills.
According Babu who was addressing former university students who had gathered in Nairobi today, Nairobi voters had already made a decision on whom they will elect as their next boss in 2027.
To prove he is popular, MP Owino challenged them to pick any ten random people within Nairobi City and ask them who they will vote for as their governor in 2027.
“The next Uber you use, the next petrol station you turn into, the next person you meet in town, ask them a simple question ‘who is going to be their next governor?’ and they will instantly respond without thinking for a minute. Seven out of 10 will definitely tell you Babu,” he remarked.
He also said he will serve for only a single term and then go for the presidency in 2032 because the position will be vacant while at the same time he will be mature enough to run a country.
Babu Owino is currently serving his second term in office elected on the orange Democratic Movement ODM Party ticket.
He is a young popular politician in the city and, not once, has he been able to be announced by pollsters as the most developed law maker.
“You can’t wash away Babu Owino, as we speak today, even the polls the other day showed he’s the most liked. Forget about being the most liked politician in the country as we speak.” – Langat MP Jalang’o also supported in a separate meeting in Nairobi today.
