Samburu Governor Jonathan Lati Lelelit has raised serious security concerns, claiming that his life is under threat following Wednesday’s altercation the Senate.
Speaking after the incident, he changed Nairobi Senator Edwin #Sifuna to a man-to-man duel, stating that he is prepared to face the three senators who physically restrained him during the melee, an episode that unfolded after Senate Speaker Amason Kingi issued an arrest order.
The order was given over his repeated failure to appear before the county Public Accounts Committee to respond to #financial misappropriation claims by the auditor general.
According to the embattled Governor, the three senators found him preparing to address the media when they started assaulting him.
Though the three senators have not responded to his claims, the matter stems from the point where Senate speaker Amason Kingi ordered for his arrest. #SamburuCounty
