New investigations now point to possible foul play in the witness accounts surrounding the death of Mr. Cyrus Jirongo.
Former Vihiga County Senator George Khaniri has claimed that the vehicle in which Jirongo was found had two mysterious individuals seated in the front. He said fresh private investigations established that these individuals were the ones who drove Jirongo to Naivasha.
According to Mr. Khaniri, the late Jirongo could not have driven himself from Nairobi to Naivasha given his condition at the time.
“The state Jirongo was in, you can’t convince me that he drove himself to Naivasha. That one I refuse,” Khaniri stated during the burial service at Jirongo’s home.
He further observed that the extent of damage sustained by the vehicle appeared inconsistent with the minor scratches he noticed on Jirongo’s body.
Khaniri argued that raising such questions has angered some sections of the public who, he claimed, do not want a thorough conclusion to be reached on the matter.
