The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened applications for students seeking placement at medical colleges for the March 2026 intake.

In a notice released on Wednesday, KUCCPS confirmed that the application window targets prospective students aiming to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the upcoming academic session. The move is part of the government’s continued effort to expand access to medical and health-related training across the country.

Eligible applicants are required to log in to the KUCCPS student portal, where they can view available programmes and submit their course preferences. The application period will run from January 7 to January 27, giving students a three-week window to complete and finalize their submissions.

The announcement also urged students to carefully review programme requirements and ensure they meet the necessary qualifications before submitting applications. KUCCPS emphasized that late submissions or incomplete applications will not be considered, underlining the importance of adhering to the set deadlines.

The March 2026 intake at KMTC offers opportunities across a range of medical and allied health disciplines, including nursing, clinical medicine, pharmacy, and public health. This initiative aligns with Kenya’s broader strategy to address the shortage of skilled healthcare professionals and strengthen the national health system.

KUCCPS continues to provide guidance and support to applicants, including a dedicated helpline and online resources to facilitate a smooth application process. Students are encouraged to act promptly to secure their place in the highly competitive medical training programmes.
