Kwanza Constituency Member of Parliament Ferdinand Wanyonyi is hospitalized in India. Parliament has announced.
Addressing the Session in Parliament this week, Speaker Moses Wetang’ula who took issue with sections peddling propaganda on the life of the MP, said he(Wanyonyi) was responding well on medication.
Speaker Wetang’ula detailed how it all started when Wanyonyi fell sick and was rushed to a Nairobi facility only for the situation to worsen before the doctors referred him to India. He was then airlifted to India by the family including his wife.
“I have been in constant talks with the wife and she just assured me all is well. I am here to set the record straight so that those peddling contrary news for whatever reason get ashamed. What they are spreading out there about the honourable member is not true and not useful to anyone including themselves,” he commented.
Speaker Moses Wetang’ula was addressing this in full-packed Parliamentary sitting of Thursday Dec 4.
The news happening barely a year after another lawmaker from Malava Constituency, MP Malulu Injendi, died in Nairobi after a short illness.
Malulu has since been replaced by David Ndakwa in the just-concluded controversial area by-election.
