DCP Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala has alleged that President William Ruto’s chief economic adviser, David Ndii, is among individuals with knowledge of the whereabouts of the KSh 11 billion reportedly lost under the Social Health Authority (SHA).

Speaking during an interview on Spice FM on Tuesday morning, Malala claimed that David Ndii’s wife is listed among the directors of the company behind the new SHA system, which he accused of being at the centre of the alleged loss of public funds amounting to KSh11 billion.

According to Malala, the missing money can be easily traced through individuals linked to the project, including Ndii, his wife, and Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale.

“David Ndii’s wife is a director. Anyone can confirm this by checking records at the Registrar of Companies to see who the directors of SHA are,” Malala stated.

Turning to politics, Malala also weighed in on the proposed UDA–ODM alliance ahead of the next general election, saying President Ruto is increasingly facing a political dilemma as the election draws closer.

The DCP deputy Party leader argued that the President is under growing pressure to select a running mate from the ODM Party, while at the same time struggling to balance political interests within the Mt. Kenya region.

Malala predicted that William Ruto would face backlash regardless of his decision. He claimed that choosing Prof. Kithure Kindiki from Mt. Kenya could trigger protests in Nyanza, while selecting a candidate from the Luo community could alienate voters in Central Kenya.

The former Kakamega County senator further noted that the Luhya community in Western Kenya remains unsettled, expressing dissatisfaction with both options and feeling sidelined in the ongoing political calculations.
