ODM party leader and Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga has issued an end-of-year message urging Kenyans to embrace unity, dialogue, and collective responsibility as the country steps into 2026. In his address, Oburu reflected on the challenges of 2025, describing the year as a testing period for the nation’s social and economic resilience.

He noted that despite difficult conditions, Kenyans from all walks of life demonstrated determination and solidarity that kept the country moving forward. Oburu paid tribute to farmers, traders, workers, professionals, and young people, saying their daily efforts formed the backbone of national stability during uncertain times.

According to the ODM leader, the lessons of the past year underscore the importance of working together rather than allowing division to slow national progress. He emphasized that unity and shared purpose remain essential ingredients for building a stronger country.

Looking ahead, Oburu said the Orange Democratic Movement would approach 2026 with a renewed commitment to inclusive development and people-centered leadership. He outlined a vision of a Kenya where quality education is accessible to all children, employment opportunities are driven by innovation and industry, farmers receive fair returns for their labor, and public leadership is guided by integrity and accountability.

Oburu also called on political leaders and citizens alike to prioritize dialogue and peace over confrontation and narrow interests. He expressed optimism that the new year would deliver stability for families, meaningful opportunities for the youth, dignity for workers, and renewed hope across the nation.

He concluded by wishing Kenyans a peaceful and prosperous New Year, urging continued commitment to building a united, inclusive, and forward-looking country in 2026.
