A police officer from Kakamega Central Police Station has died in a road accident along the Kakamega–Mumias Highway after the police vehicle he was driving collided head-on with a speeding truck carrying sugarcane.
The wreckage of both the police vehicle and the truck has been taken to Kakamega Central Police Station, while the body of the deceased has been taken to Kakamega County Referral Funeral Parlour.
