Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has sent a heartfelt message of condolence following the death of Mr. John Muhia Njoroge, the father of Kipipiri Member of Parliament Hon. Wanjiku Muhia.
In a statement, Mr. Gachagua said he was deeply saddened by the passing of the elder Njoroge, describing him as a loving father, a resilient man, and a pillar in his community. He noted that the late Njoroge had courageously battled kidney failure for 12 years, a journey marked by strength, patience, and unwavering faith.
“The late Njoroge Muhia demonstrated courage and great resilience in life,” Gachagua said, acknowledging the long and difficult health struggle the family endured.
He added that Kipipiri Constituency had lost not only a respected family man but also a champion who played a key role in shaping leaders within the community.
The DCP Party leader praised the values instilled by the late Njoroge, saying they were clearly reflected in his children, particularly Hon. Wanjiku Muhia, whom he described as a great leader. He noted that her leadership and character stand as a testament to the strong foundation laid by her parents.
On behalf of his family, the former Deputy President extended his deepest sympathies to the family of the late Njoroge Muhia and to the people of Kipipiri during this time of mourning. He urged them to draw strength and comfort from their faith as they come to terms with the loss.
“I pray for peace and strength during this difficult moment,” Gachagua said, adding a prayer that the Almighty God grants the family courage to bear the grief. He concluded by praying for the eternal rest of Mr. John Muhia Njoroge, asking that perpetual light shine upon him forever.
