The Kenyan embassy in Doha, Qatar has responded to concerns raised by Kenyans living in the Gulf nation regarding when flights back to Kenya will resume following recent tensions in the Middle East.

In an advisory issued on Saturday, March 7, the embassy clarified that flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatar’s airspace. The mission explained that the suspension is in line with directives from the country’s aviation authorities.

However, the embassy assured Kenyans that operations would resume immediately once the airspace is reopened.

“Flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of airspace in line with the directives of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority,” the embassy said in the statement.

The diplomatic mission further urged Kenyans in Qatar to remain calm and continue monitoring official communication channels for updates regarding the reopening of airspace and the resumption of flights.
