President William Ruto on Monday visited the family of the late Emurua Dikirr MP, Johana #Ng’eno, to offer his condolences following his tragic death.
In a solemn meeting held at the family’s Karen residence in Nairobi, William Ruto described the late legislator as a committed leader who dedicated his life to serving both his constituents and the nation at large. The President comforted the grieving family, friends, and supporters, urging them to remain strong during this painful period.
“Mheheshmiwa, you did your best. You contributed to the welfare of the community, the nation and humanity,” President Ruto said in tribute, acknowledging Ng’eno’s efforts in advancing development and championing the interests of his people.
Ruto referred to the deceased MP as a friend and colleague whose contribution to public service would be remembered with respect. He emphasized that Ng’eno’s legacy would endure through the positive impact he made in the lives of many Kenyans.
Drawing encouragement from scripture, the President cited Psalm 147:3, reminding the family of God’s promise in times of sorrow: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” He encouraged them to lean on faith for strength and comfort as they navigate the difficult days ahead.
The visit underscored the gravity of the loss felt across the political divide, with leaders continuing to stream in to stand in solidarity with the family during their time of mourning.
