A very worrying police camp photo from Trans Nzoia County has been shared by a local from the area.
The said image shows a completely deplorable state of a police camp where a latrine they use is almost falling down under its own weak weight.
Here is the note shared by the local to blogger Cyprian Nyakundi:
Hello Nyakundi. This is Kitale Ndogo Police Patrol Base in Trans-Nzoia County, Kwanza Constituency, under area M.P Hon. Ferdinand Wanyonyi. The post, located just 200 meters from the MP’s residence, is responsible for providing security to both the surrounding area and the MP’s home. Surprisingly, the facility lacks modern toilets, bathrooms, housing for officers, cells, and an inquiry office. The Kwanza Constituency CDF Committee has visited this post multiple times and taken photographs, yet no improvements have been made. Kindly highlight this issue so that urgent action can be taken to upgrade the police post.
This is not an isolated case, many police camps, schools and health facilities around the country are in a very poor state even as politicians keep flying around with sacks of money in readiness for 2027 general election.
They would rather redirect any development money to their own families, trips abroad and buying expensive cars and shirts at the expense of a tax payer. And life has to go on as if nothing wrong happened.
