DAP-K Deputy Party Leader Ayub Savula who is also the serving Kakamega County Deputy Governor has endorsed UDA Party candidate David Ndakwa in the upcoming Malava by-election race.

This twist-and-turn of events now sets stage for a titanic battle where the pro-government side led by President William Ruto’s top aide Farouk Kibet now add Mr. #Savula will be facing off with the opposition side which is backing nurses Secretary General Seth Panyako.

The opposition side is backed up by vocal Kakamega County Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale whose team has been asking locals to ignore the government backed candidate saying there is no way outsiders would come to make important leadership choices for them.

The opposition also wondered how UDA had decided to invade their region whereas there has never been a Luhya founded party which had ever been allowed to front a candidate in Uasin Gishu or Nandi counties.

According to the Khalwale faction, this move by the State is part of what the Mulembe Nation view as part of the efforts to undermine their community.
