Oginga Odinga family had denied illness reports on their family spokesman #Oburu Odinga saying the he is taking a sabbatical rest in Dubai.
Reports about the new ODM Party boss getting flown out of the country in an emergency state went viral from Thursday to Saturday indicating that the politician who is also the elder brother to the late Raila Odinga had gotten sick and had been hospitalized; reports that sent panick across the country.
A city blogger shared on Friday November 22 that ,Dr. Oburu, was critically ill and had been flown out for specialized medication.

Oburu’s sister Ruth Odinga who is the current Kisumu Woman Representative would later share with the media that his brother, Oburu, was in Dubai for a three-day rest.
“The ODM party leader Oburu Odinga is in Dubai where he traveled for a 3-day visit to rest following a hectic political period,” she shared today Saturday.
Dr. Oburu succeeded Mr. Raila Odinga – his younger brother – as the new ODM Party leader following a unanimous verdict by a section of party members’ weeks ago.
Since assuming office, he has been moving around the country and chairing political meetings including public campaign rallies with a fully-packed weeklong schedule.
This, according to some close sources, was taking a toll on his health and he might be forced to slow down perhaps due to the age factor.
Oburu is now 82 years old.
