Mr. Ferdinand Waititu continues to be confronted with more court charges even as he serves his 12-year term behind bars.

Today, the ex-Kiambu County boss faced another charge accusing him of uttering inflammatory words when the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was facing impeachment in the Senate, months back.

The prosecution told the court that the EX-county boss had an aim of inciting locals against a certain direction; what could have caused losses.

Director of public Prosecution DPP, therefore, made a decision to pursue the charges whose hearing is set to take place next week.

Mr. Waititu’s woes started when EACC flagged several contractual fraud related trsnasctions in which millions of county money was seen to have gotten lost through his hands.

The UDA Party politician had several accounts some through his daughters and wife in which multi-million transactions used to take place.

Though, he termed the cases as politically fueled, he will have to prove the prosecution otherwise to survive this lethal onslaught.

Currently, he is held at the Kamiti Maximum Prison where he is serving a 12-year jail term for offences of ‘conflict of interest and dealing with suspect property’.

In September, his lawyers launched another bid to secure his freedom, but the application was denied after he failed to raise the required bank guarantee to effect the same.
