Former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has, for the first time, stood with embattled former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

In a statement he issued in Murang’a during Jubilee Party meeting on Friday, Mr. Kenyatta, who seemingly appeared to have forgiven Gachagua over the sheep case on his Northlands Farm, said it was now time to unite and speak as one people with one purpose.

He openly and fiercely defended Rigathi Gachagua, warning Jubilee Party politicians among them Sec. Gen. Jeremiah Kioni against insulting the former DP.

Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his disappointment over what he described as persistent divisive politics from a section of party members.

In a hard-hitting statement, Uhuru dared those criticising other politicians, particularly those on the opposition side, to strictly follow his directive or quit the party.

Present during the party event were, Dr. Fred Matiang’i who is now the deputy party leader, Jeremiah Kioni among many other Jubilee affiliated leaders.

Uhuru is in top gear to make sure his party which he used to grab power twice can now play a key role in the 2027 elections where the United Opposition made up of many political outfits is seeking to remove President Ruto from office in 2027.

Other members of the United Opposition are Hon. Martha Karua, DAP-Kenya’s Eugene Wamalwa, Wiper Party’s Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka among others. #UhuruKenyatta
