Kalonzo, who was addressing mourners during the funeral service of the late Beryl Odinga, said that for far too long, Luo Nyanza has been targeted by the State, resulting in the loss of innocent and influential lives due to political motives.
While insisting that he had no regrets about his stance on Ogolla’s death, Mr. Musyoka said he would not relent in pursuing justice and safeguarding the people of Luo Nyanza. He added that should he assume leadership of the nation in 2027, his priority would be to ensure justice is served to the region and all affected families.
Kalonzo also mentioned Tom Mboya among those he claimed were eliminated by the State for “obvious reasons.”
“As a country, we must face the hard questions. This region has lost too many great voices in ways that cannot be ignored. I have said it before: Gen Ogolla did not fall to an accident. He was taken out.
“We owe it to our people to seek the truth and to speak it without fear.”
Through it all, Mr. Musyoka announced that he, together with his like-minded colleagues, will continue to be guided by the “Raila Vision.”
