New Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Oburu Odinga is not taking chances as far as making sure he remains fit as a fiddle is concerned.
Since taking charge of the largest party in the country, Dr. Oburu has demonstrated his abilities, capabilities and tried as much to prove that ‘age remains just a number’.
When naysayers thought he will not be able to lead the party of his younger brother Raila Odinga, Dr. Oburu has, instead, risen to the occasion to prove them otherwise. He spits wisdom every time he rises to speak. His only aim being to bring together the worrying factions within the ODM party.
For example, allowing Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino to continue enjoying the democracy within the party has shocked many who thought he (Oburu) won’t be able to galvanize the political support as expected.
Furthermore, he has also made it clear that ODM will remain in government until 2027 but, thereafter, they will have to hold another meeting to decide what to do next – a signal clear enough that support to President William Ruto is not guaranteed unless decided upon by top party organ.
And this is what Lawyer Edwin Sifuna had stood for all these time.
