Singer Betty Bayo who breathed her last today at the Kenyatta National Hospital was a popular Kikuyu gospel artist whose songs traversed all cultures and tribes.
She started her singing career way back after college and had released quite a number of celebrated hit songs – from her famours 11th Hour to Siyabonga hit songs. Other popular compositions are Busy Busy, Maneno and Jamedari among many others.
She succumbed to Leukemia on Monday Nov 10 morning.
