Kakamega Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale has officially lost his position as Senate Majority Whip following a decisive move by his own party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). The announcement marks a dramatic turn of events in the Senate leadership structure.
Senate Speaker Amason Kingi confirmed the development after receiving official communication from UDA. According to the correspondence, the party resolved to strip #Khalwale of his role and forwarded the decision for formal recognition.
“From the correspondence, the minutes indicate that a resolution was passed to remove the Senate Majority Whip Boni Khalwale in accordance with Standing Order 225,” Speaker Kingi told the House during Tuesday’s plenary session.
The removal signals fresh political realignments within the ruling party as leaders continue to reorganize their internal leadership positions.
