Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has blasted his predecessor Rigathi Gachagua whom he described as a man who is not consequential in Mt. Kenya politics.
He also reminded the ex-DP on how he(Gachagua) lost the running mate position to him(Kindiki) and that Ruto just gave him(Gachagua) a free pass which he(Gachagua) later squandered and got impeached out of the government. Kindiki challenged Mr. Gachagua to blame himself for the all the woes he has been confronted with since 2022.
“You didn’t campaign for William Ruto. People in the Mountain had already accepted to elect William Ruto and you just came to hang on his coat.
“I have been around in politics more than you Rigathi Gachagua. You were rejected within UDA even that deputy president slot you lost to me fair and square. You also impeached yourself,” Kindiki said.
Prof. Kindiki remarked also that the DCP Party boss had come too close within shooting range and, therefore, it is time to counter his every political move.
“I’ve been in politics longer than Rigathi Gachagua. I have kept quiet for a long time because I did not want to engage him, and I do not like confronting my own kinsmen — but he has now come too close. Rigathi awachane na mimi, aombee Karish kura,” further stated the DP.
Kindiki and Gachagua have been attacking each other especially this moment the Mbeere by-election campaigns are ongoing and heated.
