Lawyer James Orengo has asked the Luos and all those in ODM Party to throw their weight behind Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka because he supported Raila three times, unconditionally.
Addressing today(Thursday) in Siaya County, Governor Orengo said there is no one in this country who can claim to have loved Raila more than Kalonzo.
The Siaya Governor went ahead to ask the region not to allow ODM to be swallowed and that the only way forward is to have a strong Wiper and ODM parties to face the government.
He was speaking this in the presence of Mama Ida Odinga and the whole of Mr. Odinga family among them, Raila Jr.
On his part, Kalonzo cautioned ODM members against handing over the party to someone else, in reference to President William Ruto, who recently purported to be jostling towards working with the Raila Odinga’s party.
“Ile heshima kubwa tunaweza kumpatia Raila Odinga ni kuhakikisha hakuna mtu anasema he will look after ODM. Wana ODM kumbukeni mimi niko tunaweza shirikiana lakini sio hawa waliokuwa wakisema kitendawili,” Mr. Kalonzo stated.
Recently in the burial service of Odinga in Bondo, President William Ruto promised to support ODM to remain a string party ahead of 2027 what some read to mean he was planning a take over.
