Prime Cabinet Minister Musalia Mudavadi has told Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya that, in 2027, United Democratic Alliance UDA will field a candidate in Trans Nzoia.

Addressing on Saturday, Mudavadi told their supporters that George Natembeya was his own greatest undoing by attempting to threaten senior leaders in Luhya land.

He wondered how a first time elected person could now think that he was too big to do anything on anyone.

“We are also politicians and I can predict that if this behavior goes on for long, we will field a very strong candidate in Trans Nzoia to remove this man. We are not going to allow a small man like Natembeya and his friends to continue undermining us in public as we remain quiet.

“Who is he to think he is better than Wetangula or I?” Mudavadi told locals in Malava

This was happening even as Natembeya’s life was being threatened kilometers away in Kabuchai Bungoma.

His motorcade was on Saturday attacked shuttering some of his cars with injuries recorded.

It is obvious that senior politicians in Bungoma and the larger Western Region are not happy with the rising political popularity of the Trans Nzoia County boss.

Natembeya, came straight from being a regional commissioner, North Rift, to becoming an fully elected County boss under the Eugene Wamalwa-led DAP-Kenya Party.
