United Opposition team leaders from Western Region, particularly, Kakamega have spoken out for the first time after conclusion of the by-elections exercise.
Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya was first to announce that only a team of three gentlemen had given a ‘whole government’ a run for their money.
Mr. Natembeya noted that the kind of push back they exuded all through the by- elections around Western Region is enough to send Ruto packing in 2027.
“Just three of us, we have managed to give this government a run for its money. Only three of us – Khalwale, Cleophas Malala and myself”.
He added that this is enough sign that, come 2027, it will nolonger be business as usual.
The fierce opposition politician from DAP- Kenya was speaking this while flanked by his colleagues – Senator Bonni Khalwale and former UDA Party Secretary General Mr. Malala. The team promised to engage Panyako, and if possible, pursue legal means against the IEBC’s Saturday verdict.
Their candidate, Seth Panyako, lost to David Ndakwa with a margin of not more than 2000 votes.
This loss has seen Ruto bag bragging rights as he told supporters countrywide that 2027 election will be his Christmas day – a walkover.
President Ruto called out the opposition saying it has people who have no agenda and plan to win any election now or in future.
