Politician Rigathi Gachagua has told his supporters around the Mt. Kenya Region to ignore the current Deputy President’s utterances because he is a mere ’employee’ of President William Samoei Ruto.
Addressing a question from his hosts on a radio station last night Saturday Nov 22, the former deputy president explained how Prof. Kindiki is no different from Permanent Secretaries and Cabinet Secretaries appointed by the head of State and who must abide by every of his word and command.
The DCP Party leader described the current DP(Kindiki) as a no body in Kenya who was elected by no one either in Mt. Kenya or the country at large.
“Let’s focus our energies on William Ruto – that is where I am equal. Not Kindiki. Did you elect Kindiki? Did anyone from Mbeere elect that man? No forget about pretenders and let’s deal with our only issue who is William Ruto,” he remarked.
The ex-second-in-command added that the only deputy president elected by the people in 2022 was Rigathi Gachagua 2 and that is a fact that is hard to tilt otherwise.
He also noted that he is the current undisputed Mt. Kenya top leader who has been mandated to guide the region to towards the right direction upto and beyond 2027 general elections.
He was reacting to recent utterances by the DP who told Mbeere locals in Meru County that he(Gachagua) is a ‘very small person’ who can be dealt with in a record second.
Kindiki, who was addressing in rally in the ongoing Mbeere North by-lection campaigns this week, argued that he had successfully managed to wipe away terrorists, gangs and bandits in North Rift – a task he undertook single-handed and, therefore, Mr. Gachagua doesn’t give him sleepless nights.
Prof. Kindiki, during the rally, demanded respected from his predecessor(Gachagua) or face an equal push back.
