President William Ruto has sustained his verbal attacks on the members of the opposition team during his ongoing tour around Western Kenya.

On his third day in Western while making a stop in Busia Town on Wednesday March 18, President Ruto asked former Interior Cabinet Secretaries Dr. Fred Matiang’i and Eugene Wamalwa to cut down in weight and meals.

The head of State challenged the United Opposition leaders to consider visiting a gym for health lifestyle.

“Walianza kusema ati mimi nimekonda lakini Mimi nawaambia wapunguze chakula na waende gym. Mimi naenda gym ndio niweze kuamka asubuhi,” he posed.

The president accused the two of being lazy through over-eating arguing that the reason he is fit to wake up early every day is because he goes to the gym and eats healthy to be able to sustain his movements around the country.

The head of State noted that the current leadership of the United Opposition is too lazy to win next year’s general elections if they cannot work on their health.

He was responding to Dr. Matiang’i who, yesterday, told him not to focus on what he eats because he doesn’t knock at his wife’s door for a meal.
