When you want to live long in this world, ignore what is noise and consume what is good because the earth has a lot of mixed noise that could destruct your focus.
Look, living in country like Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania where politics are too messed up and toxic is one of the hardest tasks on earth. People born in Africa go through quite a lot because their leaders are what they are. Africa is a beautiful continent but their leaders are mostly inhuman.
For example, though corruption is wrong and punishable by law in Kenya, same same leaders who should be serving as good examples are the ones promoting it. It is not easy to find a straight forward leader in Africa. If they exist, then they were never raised up in Africa, perhaps.
In Africa and, especially, Kenya, people have made politics a very lucrative career. People compete to join government to make quick illegal wealth. A mere Member of Parliament who just joins today, give him or her only six months, and you won’t be able to tell where they got their wealth. The kind of cars they drive, homes they build and exotic tours they make is shocking. Same happens with Cabinet members. The life they start living three months into office is astounding.
We glorify wealth whether found legally or not, as long as someone is rich that is it. Sadly, courts are also compromised and cannot deal with runaway corruption in Africa. And in Kenya, the same courts are as corrupt as the politicians themselves.
Unlike in developed countries, in Africa, people seek leadership positions to make wealth, to mess up the economy for the rest of the people as their families bulge in ill-gotten money.
To make the matters worse, once they grab power, to leave it is never easy. Even when they lose elections, they decide to bungle the exercise in complete broad day light and nothing happens to them.
Only The Mighty Lord our God could come to save us from this situation. It is urgent and worsening by day!
