Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has reacted to the ongoing President William Ruto’s Ukambani visit that has now lasted for days.

Doing a spot check around Emali Town where he(Ruto) was launching roads two days ago, Mr. Musyoka indicated that all the roads Ruto announced and launched had already been abandoned by contractors.

The Wiper Party boss wondered how, in a record two days, all the tractors and bulldozers which were present when the president was doing the launch, had already been recalled from the site.

“Visited the Emali-Matiliku road, which was launched just two days ago by Mr. Ruto.

“Shockingly, all the big machinery is gone and no work has begun. This pattern repeats itself across the country, a regime more interested in grand launches and photo opportunities than in actual progress. Projects are announced with fanfare, but the people are left waiting for real work to happen.

“This is why the whole country sings #WANTAM as our second National Anthem,” he said.

He advised President William Ruto to run the country with honesty rather than pupulist stunts meant only to secure him another term in office.

On his part, earlier during the development tour, Ruto blamed Ukambani leadership for neglecting the region.

He also pointed out that his resolve now is to make sure the people from that area join the next Government. He used the opportunity to warn them against opposition politics. He told them being in the opposition is not an honour.
