Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has hinted at joining Linda Mwananchi team led by Edwin Sifuna.
In his address on Friday, according to a clip that has since went viral on social media, the two-term lawmaker remarked how Party leader Oburu Odinga blundered chasing out Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and why this is now costing the Linda Ground faction.
The MP says, together with Raila’s sister Ruth Odinga, they prevailed upon Oburu to reconcile with Sifuna and move the party ahead but he refused to heed the advice.
“We were with Ruth and another third person when we went to talk to Oburu about the consequences of touching Edwin Sifuna, but, he seemingly didn’t take us serious. Now you can see what has happened to our ODM,” he reminisced.
According to Amollo, their party leader Oburu Odinga is now going to be forced to look for Sifuna and not the other way round.
“I am not a prophet but looking at the way things are, Oburu is now going to start begging Senator Edwin Sifuna back,” he added in Luo language.
Otiende Amollo was speaking this a day after his counterpart, Millie Odhiambo, also revealed having attempted to stop the removal of Sec Gen Sifuna from ODM but failed due to heavy resistance from people like MP Junet Mohamed and Governor Gladys Wanga who are tightly aligned to William Ruto’s broadbased arrangement.
