Presidential aspirant David Maraga has confirmed his willingness to work with the United Opposition ahead of the next polls.
Speaking in Kathonzweni, Ukambani, the former Chief Justice stated that once campaigns are officially declared, he will allow the most popular candidate within the opposition to carry the flag to ensure they stand a strong chance of unseating the incumbent.
“I attended the University of Nairobi with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and we are friends. When the time comes, we will allow you, the voters, to assess our strengths and determine who is ahead, because that is what it will take for us to win the next General Election,” he said.
The announcement comes a day after embattled ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna told NTV that the opposition cannot afford to falter in its bid to defeat President William Ruto. He emphasized that unity at a critical moment will be key to changing the current leadership.
