The Ministry of Education has instructed all Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions to review and strictly comply with the approved modular fee structures.

The directive is in line with the ongoing rollout of the Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) curriculum across TVET institutions nationwide.

In a letter dated April 23, 2026, the State Department for TVET announced that it will launch a nationwide compliance crackdown starting May 4, 2026, targeting all technical institutions.

The Ministry stated that the move is aimed at ensuring institutions align fully with the CBET modular framework as a new training session begins.

“In light of the commencement of a new training session, the State Department will undertake a National Monitoring exercise on CBET Modular Curricula, which will commence on May 4, 2026,” the statement read.
