A dramatic overnight incident at the GSU Embakasi B Campus in Nairobi has left police pursuing a woman suspected of torching the home of her former boyfriend following an alleged relationship dispute.
The fire, which damaged property worth an estimated KSh 200,000, is believed to have been sparked after the suspect reportedly found the officer entertaining two female guests.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. when the woman allegedly stormed the officer’s Uni-Hut residence and found the GSU officer in the company of two female visitors. The encounter is said to have triggered a heated confrontation.
The officer reportedly escorted the two women out of the camp. However, while he was at the gate, colleagues alerted him that his mabati house had caught fire.
Fellow officers quickly responded and managed to contain the blaze before it spread to neighbouring houses.
The value of the damaged property has been estimated at approximately KSh 200,000.
