Kenya Rural Roads Authority has issued fresh tender notices for the upgrading of key road projects in Nyandarua County, signaling renewed momentum in infrastructure development just days after public criticism from John Methu directed at William Ruto over delayed works.
Methu, speaking on Monday, April 13, claimed that his direct appeal to the President may have prompted swift action on the projects.
“You must defeat fear to be a good leader. I mentioned the Murungaru–Gilgil road to the President on Wednesday. It was advertised on Friday,” he said in a statement.
A spot-check by Kenyans.co.ke has confirmed that KeRRA is now inviting bids from contractors to upgrade the Murungaru–Tulasha–Gilgil Road and the Gwa Ishangai–Kitogo–Kamba–Mutarakwa–Mutamaiyu Primary and Secondary School Road to bitumen standards.
