The Kenya Airports Authority Board has named Moses Wekesa as the organisation’s new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

In a statement released on Tuesday, April 14, the Board confirmed that Wekesa was selected following a competitive recruitment process designed to identify a leader capable of advancing the authority’s long-term aviation and infrastructure development goals.

According to the Board, Wekesa stood out among the candidates and was ultimately chosen after a thorough evaluation process.

His appointment places him in charge of overseeing the management and expansion of Kenya’s airport network, including key facilities such as Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), the country’s main aviation hub.
