Kisumu residents have blown the lid off the attack on Vihiga Senator Geoffrey Osotsi, revealing that the goons captured on CCTV at a Java are well-known local figures, described as errand boys for a top government official and several politicians now affiliated with the broad-based government.
This comes even as the DCI issued a statement claiming they are still searching for the suspects. Ironically, residents note the attackers were seen carrying their mobile phones, and forensic triangulation could easily place each of them at the scene.
The Linda Mwananchi team, led by Nairobi Senator Sifuna, has expressed fear that the DCI may not diligently pursue the case, precisely because the goons are linked to the said top official.
Netizens from Kisumu who watched the CCTV footage identified and named most of the thugs captured at the crime scene.
