A woman accompanied by a man he had met in a nightclub in Kitengela, was seen entering the man’s home. The two had spent the night drinking before driving back to Mlolongo where the man lives.
The following morning, the man woke up only to find his house empty and the woman gone with his belongings including Ksh 80,000, an expensive phone and several electronic devices like Tv and wall clock.
Shocked, he immediately rushed to the nearest police station but claims that he received little assistance prompting him to seek alternative help elsewhere.
He later obtained contacts of a local traditional healer known as Daktari Ngoso who is said to assist in tracing stolen property through rituals and spiritual guidance.
According to accounts, the healer conducted his customary practices and allegedly identified the suspect’s direction.
“When I contacted the traditional medicine man, he assured me that everything will be recovered in under 24 hours and, indeed, that happened”.
The woman was later reportedly found along Isinya Road wailing and behaving erratically before being intercepted by residents and authorities.
She was subsequently arrested and all the stolen items including cash, phone and electronics were recovered and returned to the owner.
The incident has since sparked discussions in Mlolongo and Kitengela about nightlife safety and trust among strangers met in entertainment venues.
Residents urged people to exercise caution when socializing and to be mindful of their belongings during outings.
Police also reminded the public to report suspicious incidents promptly and avoid taking matters into their own hands while investigations continue.
