Ailing Vihiga lawmaker Godfrey Osotsi has spoken publicly for the first time following the attack against him in Kisumu.
Speaking from his hospital bed during a visit by several leaders, including Jubilee flagbearer Fred Matiang’i, Osotsi said the individuals behind the assault should not be used to profile the Luo community.
“Let no one generalise that I was attacked by Luos. We cannot profile an entire community,” he stated.
The senator further noted that he has always enjoyed a warm reception when travelling to Kisumu, particularly around Kondele market, where young men and women often welcome him enthusiastically whenever he passes through.
He added that many residents recognize his vehicle and occasionally stop him at Kondele for brief interactions, underscoring the cordial relationship he has maintained with locals over time.
