Transport along the busy Kisumu-Busia highway was disrupted after protests broke out in Luanda, Vihiga County, in response to the attack on Godfrey Osotsi.

On Thursday morning, agitated residents poured into the streets, calling for justice following the senator’s assault by a group of suspected gang members in Kisumu the previous day.

The protesters lit bonfires and staged demonstrations along the highway, bringing traffic to a halt for several hours and forcing motorists to seek alternative routes as the situation remained tense.
