Shock and grief have engulfed the Kakamega County Polytechnic community following the sudden and mysterious death of its Principal, Carolyn Kamete, widely known as Madam Caro.
Her lifeless body was discovered along the shores of Lake Victoria under unclear circumstances, sending waves of concern and speculation among colleagues, students, and local residents.
Authorities in Kisumu confirmed that police officers retrieved the body and transferred it to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital. A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have since taken over the case and launched investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
