Suba South Member of Parliament Caroli Omondi claimed that the woman who was with Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi was a staff member who had just arrived from Vihiga to meet him.
Speaking in Parliament today, Omondi noted, “It is a blogger who is always a hired gun who, immediately after the incident, rushed to social media to start spreading fake news about Osotsi.”
However, in a sharp response, Kileleshwa MCA Robert #Alai went on the offensive, detailing the movements of Mr. Osotsi and the woman over two days in Kisumu. He named a woman identified as #Zadia Loyolei from Eldoret as the individual who was with Osotsi, and called for investigations by the DCI.
“Ask Senator Osotsi if he knows the lady named Zadia Loyolei from Eldoret. Directorate of Criminal Investigations must question Loyolei and triangulate the phone numbers she used while with Osotsi in Kisumu,” Alai authoritatively stated.
The Kileleshwa MCA further went berserk alleging that when #Osotsi was attacked, Loyolei quickly returned to the room and demanded only her belongings, refusing to carry any of Osotsi’s items.
“Do you know who picked up Osotsi’s belongings from the room? Hawa MPs wananijaribu. I will deal with them properly using facts and evidence. I don’t speak from ignorance. He spent two nights with the lady, and I have all the M-Pesa messages showing her paying for a taxi while with Osotsi,” Alai claimed.
The fire-breathing Alai, in a blow-by-blow account, went on to share alleged cab receipts used by the woman in question, adding that he also has raw CCTV footage from the hotel where the two reportedly spent the nights.
Alai appeared agitated by remarks made by Omondi in Parliament on Thursday. In response, Omondi challenged Osotsi to file lawsuits against Mr Alai once he recovers from the injuries allegedly inflicted by the attackers.
