Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has issued a stern warning to opposition leaders, cautioning them against linking Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo to the rising wave of goon-related violence.

A visibly angered #Murkomen challenged the opposition to publicly denounce criminal elements they allegedly associate with, warning that continued accusations against his PS would not be tolerated.

“Don’t blame my PS (Raymond Omollo). He is innocent,” he stated.

Speaking during the burial of Mitchelle Jelimo Kemboi at Mangu Farm in Nakuru County, Murkomen directed Inspector General Douglas Kanja to immediately arrest individuals he described as hired goons linked to opposition figures.

He accused some leaders of mobilising disruptive groups to interfere with public events and undermine law and order.

Murkomen further claimed intelligence reports had established a pattern where certain opposition politicians move with organised gangs to control crowds and intimidate rivals. He insisted that swift arrests would act as a deterrent and reaffirm the government’s resolve to restore order.

The CS was responding to the recent attack on Vihiga Senator Geoffrey #Osotsi in Kisumu, which left him seriously injured. Meanwhile, PS Omollo condemned the incident, stating that any leader found sponsoring goons would face the full force of the law.
