Leaders allied to the “Linda Mwananchi” faction within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) held a charged political gathering today at #Tononoka Grounds, drawing a large crowd of supporters from across the coastal city.
The meeting, framed as a people-centered engagement forum, brought together key figures within the party who have recently intensified grassroots mobilization efforts amid shifting political dynamics.
The delegation was led by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, who was accompanied by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and outspoken Siaya Governor James Orengo. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Sifuna kept his message brief but symbolic, stating, “Yangu ni Ahsante tu… thank you Mombasa,” a remark that was met with cheers from supporters who turned up in large numbers to show solidarity with the faction.
The leaders used the platform to reaffirm their commitment to defending the interests of ordinary Kenyans, emphasizing unity within the party and continued engagement with citizens at the grassroots level.
